Bass on the Fly

The weather has been beautiful the last couple days and I was craving some top water action.  I woke up early, headed out and was able to get on the water as the sun rose.

I was excited to tie on one of my own gurglers that I tied this Winter.  This one has some sparkly dark red chenille around the hook, orange foam tied like a grasshopper, and then blue foam overlay.  A little orange bucktail and some rubber legs!  I have yet to fish this fly and was excited to see how it performed.  Thankfully, it looked amazing in the water and the bass were liking it!
